Francesca was born in Varese in 1989 where she was raised and did her studies. 

In 2014 she graduated in architecture at Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio with architects Francisco and Manuel Aires Mateus, after spending one year in the Netherland’s working at I’M Arkitekten.

After her graduation she worked at Edy Quaglia Architetto and d’Azzo Architetti Associati in Lugano.

In 2021 she joined Gian Maria and together founded Terreni Valentini Architetti.

Gian Maria was born in Milan in 1985 and was raised in Varese where he also did his studies.

He graduated in architecture at Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio in 2011 with architect Mario Botta, and spent one year in New York working at OBRA Architects and Umberto Squarcia Design.

After his graduation he worked for a few architecture firms in Lugano, among which Conte Pianetti Zanetta Architetti, Pietro Boschetti Architetto and Edy Quaglia Architetto.

In 2021 he joined Francesca and together founded Terreni Valentini Architetti.
